Gas Engineer / Plumber – Facilities Management
£40,000–£45,000 per annum | Company Van & Fuel Card | Permanent Role
TimesGroup Ltd is looking for an experienced Gas Engineer or Plumbing & Heating Engineer to join our growing Facilities Management Division.
This is a field-based role covering the North West, Yorkshire and the Midlands, carrying out works across a varied portfolio of commercial and residential properties. You'll be responsible for a combination of reactive maintenance, fault finding, servicing, small repairs, planned preventative maintenance (PPMs), compliance works and installation works, including small refurbishment and project works.

The Role
You'll be responsible for carrying out a wide range of Mechanical and Gas works including:
- Reactive fault finding and repairs
- Gas diagnostics and breakdowns
- Boiler servicing and maintenance
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
- Plumbing repairs and maintenance
- Installation and replacement of hot and cold water services
- Installation of sanitaryware, pipework and associated plumbing systems
- Small refurbishment and project installation works
- General plumbing and heating alterations
- Working across commercial, residential, education, healthcare and facilities management environments
- Accurately completing job reports using a PDA/mobile device
- Providing a professional service to clients and building occupants
- Participating in overtime and an out-of-hours call-out rota when required
What we're looking for
- ACS Gas qualifications (essential for Gas Engineers)
- NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing & Heating (preferred)
- Strong NVQ Level 2 candidates with relevant experience will also be considered
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Experience carrying out reactive maintenance and installation works
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to work across a variety of environments
Experience within Facilities Management, commercial maintenance or multi-site environments would be advantageous but is not essential.
