The role will:
- Provide a commitment to safeguarding children and young people who require support from the service.
- Provide specialist evidence based mental health assessment to Children and Young People involved with the Service.
- Carry clinical caseload of service users requiring EW&MH intervention utilising age appropriate interventions and in-line with NICE Guidelines
- Work with other clinicians, in providing effective, evidence based therapeutic care, to lead or support other clinicians with the development of care pathways
- Be flexible and adaptable in order to respond to the diverse and demanding nature of this post.
Provide five key functions of the Mental Health Measure:
Consultation and advice to the primary care team as well as liaison with secondary mental health services, Third Sector services, voluntary organisations, education and service user-led organisations;
Mental health screening and assessment;
Short term therapeutic work with clients with mild to moderate or stable severe and enduring mental health problems;
Where appropriate, signposting and onward referral to secondary care services;
Provision of information for service users and carers
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
