The Role:
As a Graduate English Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and students to help raise attainment, build confidence, and support learning across KS3 and KS4 English lessons.
Responsibilities may include:
- Supporting students within English lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Working with small intervention groups focused on reading, writing, and comprehension
- Providing 1:1 support for students who require additional help
- Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities
- Encouraging student engagement and participation within lessons
- Supporting students with SEN or additional learning needs where required
What We Are Looking For:
- A degree in English, English Literature, Creative Writing, Journalism, or a related subject
- A genuine passion for education and supporting young people
- Strong communication and written skills
- Positive, proactive, and adaptable attitude
- Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential
