Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role involves overseeing two kitchens, ensuring food quality and safety standards are maintained, and inspiring a team of chefs and kitchen staff to achieve excellence. The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in menu development, staff training, and maintaining high standards of hospitality across all outlets.
Duties
- Lead and supervise the entire culinary team, including sous chefs and kitchen staff, ensuring efficient operations across multiple venues.
- Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation meet brand standards.
- Develop innovative menus that cater to diverse customer preferences while maintaining cost efficiency.
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards in all kitchens.
- Manage inventory, procurement, and stock control to minimise waste and optimise resources.
- Train and mentor staff to enhance their skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and customer service.
- Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Monitor kitchen operations during service hours to maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and safety.
- Implement new cooking techniques or trends to keep menus fresh and engaging.
- Handle customer feedback professionally and resolve any issues promptly.
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within a high-volume restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Extensive background in food production, cooking, and food preparation with a strong culinary portfolio.
- Demonstrable team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead diverse teams effectively.
- Solid understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management.
- Experience working in a restaurant or hospitality setting with a focus on delivering excellent customer service.
- Knowledge of menu development, food costing, and inventory control is desirable.
- Previous leadership roles such as Head Chef are preferred but not essential if complemented by relevant experience. Pay: £30,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
