Store Supervisor at Victoria Gate, Leeds
Since 1975, Baytree Interiors has been retailing its own unique range of interior accessories and gifts from our shops across Yorkshire. This Christmas, we’re excited to be returning to Victoria Gate, Leeds with our very own Christmas Pop-Up Store!
We are looking for two experienced Retail Store Supervisors to join our team and play a key role in the successful day-to-day running of our exciting Christmas store.
As a Store Supervisor, you will lead and support the store team, helping to ensure exceptional customer service is delivered at all times. You will take responsibility for maintaining high standards across the shop floor, supporting colleagues, managing the presentation and availability of our products, and helping to create a fantastic shopping experience for every customer.
This is a hands-on role, so alongside supervising the team, you will also be actively involved in serving customers, replenishing stock and maintaining our merchandise displays.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Supervising and supporting the store team during your shifts.
- Leading by example and ensuring exceptional customer service is delivered in line with Baytree Interiors' standards.
- Supporting the implementation of company standards and procedures throughout the store.
- Developing and sharing a strong knowledge of our products and merchandising plans.
- Ensuring products are replenished and displays are maintained to a high standard.
- Maintaining excellent housekeeping and presentation standards throughout the store.
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the store and ensuring colleagues are aware of their responsibilities during each shift.
- Following and upholding company procedures relating to security, cash handling, health and safety.
- Sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues and helping to create a positive and proactive team environment.
- Taking responsibility for the store during periods of lone working where required.
- Being an excellent representative of Baytree Interiors and going the extra mile to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for experienced retail professionals who are confident taking responsibility and supporting a team.
Previous experience in a supervisory, team leader or senior retail position would be highly desirable. You should have a strong understanding of customer service, retail standards and the importance of maintaining an attractive and well-presented shop floor.
Knowledge or experience within the interiors, furniture, home accessories or giftware industry would be advantageous, although a willingness to quickly develop a strong knowledge of our products is essential.
You should be:
- A confident and approachable leader who enjoys supporting and motivating others.
- Experienced in delivering excellent customer service in a retail environment.
- Organised, reliable and able to take responsibility when required.
- Comfortable making decisions and working independently.
- Flexible and willing to work weekends and provide holiday cover.
- Passionate about great products, visual merchandising and creating an excellent customer experience.
Hours and Contract
This is a part-time, fixed-term position, with contracts available between 24 and 32 hours per week.
The contract will run from the end of September 2026 until the end of January 2027.
The role will include weekday and weekend working, and applicants must be available to work weekends and provide holiday cover where required.
Some lone working will also be required, and Store Supervisors will be expected to take responsibility for the smooth running of the store during their shifts.
Hourly rate: £13.25 per hour.
