A position has become available to work within the sewing department of a well-established UK paper sack and bag manufacturer.
Simpac is seeking a highly organised and professional Industrial Sewing Machine Technician / Mechanic to operate and maintain an automated sewing line producing high quality paper sacks
The ideal candidate will have experience working with sewing machines or experience in a manufacture environment operating and maintaining machines. Mechanical mind, very hands on role.
Key Responsibilities
- Operation of industrial sewing machines
- Following of works order for correct set up of each order
- Fault finding and repairs in efficient manor
- Improve efficiency across all lines
- Strip and rebuild sewing heads as and when required
Skills
- Experience of mechanics / pneumatics
- Ability to work well with team as well as independently
- Great communication skills
We require someone with a positive attitude and an eagerness to continually improve in both skills and experience but also help the business operate more efficiently and better time manage in order to maintain and increase rate of production.
Full time, permanent
Monday to Friday alternative shifts weekly
Mon-Thu: 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm
Fri: 6am-11am, 11am-4pm
35hrs / week
