Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of classrooms, hallways, restrooms, offices, and communal areas using appropriate commercial cleaning equipment and supplies
- Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing to ensure a spotless environment
- Disinfect high-touch surfaces regularly to promote health and prevent the spread of germs
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, toilet paper, and other consumables in restrooms and cleaning stations
- Dispose of waste responsibly by emptying trash bins and recycling containers in accordance with school policies
- Follow health and safety guidelines during all cleaning activities to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others
- Report any maintenance issues or damages to facilities management promptly for quick resolution
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work with a strong understanding of cleaning procedures and safety protocols
- Ability to operate various cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, mops, and pressure washers effectively
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
- Strong time management skills to complete daily tasks efficiently within scheduled hours
- Good communication skills for coordinating with staff and reporting issues clearly
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift
