4 Seasons Outdoor UK is one of the UK's leading suppliers of premium quality garden furniture, supplying exclusively to the retail trade. We are a successful, family-run business with a friendly and supportive working environment, and we are looking for an experienced Sales Office Administrator to become an important part of our team.
Based at our offices on Bennett Road, Reading, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our office.
The Role
This is a varied and rewarding position that requires someone who enjoys providing outstanding customer service, is highly organised and takes pride in delivering accurate work.
You will communicate confidently with our retail customers by telephone and email, processing orders, processing purchase ledger invoices and reconciliations, resolving enquiries and ensuring every interaction reflects the high standards of our business.
As a small company, everyone works together. Occasionally you may be asked to assist at our annual trade exhibitions or drive company vehicles, so a full UK driving licence is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing customer orders accurately using our accounting system.
- Checking all orders thoroughly before processing to minimise errors.
- Monitoring stock levels, particularly fast-moving products, to help maintain availability.
- Processing and reconciling purchase ledger accounts
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with our retail customers.
- Responding promptly and professionally to customer enquiries by telephone and email.
- Supporting the sales team with a range of administrative duties.
- Assisting with trade exhibitions and other company activities when required.
About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys working as part of a close-knit team and who takes ownership of their work.
You will have:
- Previous experience in sales administration and customer service.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A professional and confident telephone manner.
- Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- The ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks.
- A proactive, positive and "can-do" attitude.
- Good problem-solving skills and the confidence to use your own initiative.
- Excellent Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
- A full UK driving licence.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 8:30am – 5:00pm
- 37.5 hours per week
As we are a seasonal business, some additional hours may occasionally be required during our busiest periods.

- Sales administration: minimum 1 year's experience (preferred)
- Office administration: minimum 1 year's experience (preferred)
Licence
