Cost Accountant

IDEX Material Processing Technologies is looking for a commercially focused Cost Accountant to join our Finance team at our Evesham headquarters.
Working closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Project Management, and senior leadership, you'll act as a trusted finance business partner, providing insight and challenge to improve profitability, inventory management, cost control, and business performance.
What You'll Do
- Lead inventory management, stock takes, and annual cost rolls
- Own standard costing, inventory valuation, and cost of goods sold accuracy
- Analyse margins, variances, labour efficiency, and operational costs
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and project cost reviews
- Drive continuous improvement in reporting, controls, and cost transparency
- Partner with operational teams to deliver data-driven recommendations
What We're Looking For
- Proven cost accounting experience in a manufacturing or project-based environment
- Strong knowledge of inventory accounting, standard costing, and variance analysis
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (JDE preferred)
- Excellent communication and business partnering abilities
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
- Continuous improvement mindset with a passion for driving change
