Job Overview
We are a residential care home, looking to recruit an experienced, compassionate and dedicated Carer to join our team, though training will be provided. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive difference by providing residents with the highest standard of care following their individual care plans.
Nvq Level 2 preferred however not essential as full training will be provided. All positions are subject to a satisfactory DBS and two references.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to ensure comfort and dignity
- Support clients in adhering to their personalized care plans
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, including updates to care plans and progress notes
- Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently to create a safe environment for all involved
Skills
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to listen actively and convey information clearly
- Basic IT skills for updating electronic care records and managing schedules efficiently
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and reliability
- Knowledge of care plans and the ability to adapt support based on individual needs
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a caring attitude that promotes trust and rapport with clients
- Awareness of health and safety standards relevant to home care settings
