Press Brake Operator
£16 - £19 per hour
Join a leading manufacturer in Grays who are looking for an experienced CNC Press Brake Operator.
As a Press Brake operator you will be confident working with sheet metal and interpreting engineering drawings to produce high-quality fabricated components.
This is a workshop-based role focused on precision, accuracy, and consistent production standards.
Key Duties
- Operating CNC press brake machinery to manufacture sheet metal components to specification.
- Working with mild steel and other sheet metal materials to produce components used in the manufacture of security shutters.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings to determine bend sequences, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Conducting regular measurements and inspections to ensure all finished products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
- Workshop Duties: Supporting general fabrication activities and maintaining a safe, clean, and organised working environment.
Key Skills & Experience
- Previous experience operating CNC press brakes within a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes and workshop machinery.
- A dependable individual who can work to production schedules and maintain high standards of workmanship.
- Engineering, Fabrication, Manufacturing, or Sheet Metal qualifications are advantageous but not essential for candidates with relevant experience.
Working Hours & Pay:
Pay: £16.00 - £19.00 per hour
Hours: Monday – Friday, 07:30 – 16:30.
Environment: A well-established, steady team with no weekend work required.
