Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Cook/Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience working in busy kitchen environments. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist in meal preparation for breakfast, lunch, and dinner services
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed at all times
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations and kitchen equipment
- Monitor ingredient stock levels and notify management when supplies need replenishing
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent service and customer satisfaction
- Serve food efficiently and courteously to guests or customers
- Support with menu planning and presentation as required
- Adhere to health and safety policies within the kitchen environment
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen setting
- Knowledge of food safety standards recognised in the hospitality industry
- Experience working in a restaurant or catering environment is highly desirable
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques across various cuisines is advantageous
- Previous experience serving guests or customers is preferred but not essential
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and hygiene standards
Pay: £15.00-£15.50 per hour
