In this energetic role, you will support the optical team by assisting with patient interactions, lens and frame selections, and ensuring smooth clinical operations. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel valued and confident in their eye health journey.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with frame and lens choices, providing expert advice on styles and suitability
- Interacting with passing trade and invitign in for a free NHS eye test.
- Support the optical team with pre-screening patients, including taking basic measurements and conducting initial visual assessments
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the optical retail area, ensuring all displays are attractive and well-stocked
- Assist with laboratory tasks such as lens fitting, adjustments, and quality checks to ensure optimal patient satisfaction
- Manage appointment scheduling, patient records, and follow-up communications efficiently
- Support inventory management by tracking stock levels of frames, lenses, and accessories
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently to maintain a safe environment for staff and patients
