AIRCRAFT DISPATCHER/TURNAROUND COORDINATOR - Widebody experience required
Main Objectives
As an Aircraft Dispatcher / Turnaround Coordinator, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the safe, efficient and on-time turnaround of assigned aircraft. Acting as the operational focal point during the turnaround, you will coordinate all stakeholders, ensure compliance with airline, airport and company procedures, and drive operational performance while maintaining the highest standards of safety, security and customer service.
You will play a critical role in delivering industry-leading on-time performance by proactively managing each turnaround, identifying operational risks, resolving issues quickly and ensuring effective communication between all departments.
Given the nature of this role, you must be available to cover the all shift times 7 days a week, 365 days a year, including Bank Holidays and religious festivals, day shifts and night shifts possible.
Reporting To
Airside Service Performance Manager (Service Performance Manager)
Aircraft Turnaround Management
- Take full operational ownership of allocated aircraft turnarounds from arrival through to departure.
- Coordinate all turnaround activities to ensure safe, compliant and on-time departures.
- Lead pre-arrival briefings with operational teams to ensure everyone understands the turnaround plan.
- Maintain continuous communication with flight crew, airline representatives, airport authorities and operational departments throughout the turnaround.
- Proactively identify and resolve operational issues that may impact safety, service or on-time performance.
- Ensure all turnaround milestones are achieved within agreed timelines.
Flight Dispatch
- Produce and validate all aircraft weight and balance documentation in accordance with airline and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare, amend and present Load Sheets to the Pilot in Command.
- Ensure all loading instructions are accurately communicated to Ramp teams.
- Verify that dangerous goods, rush baggage, transfer baggage, security items and special loads are correctly documented and loaded.
- Ensure all movement messages and operational communications are transmitted accurately and within required timescales.
Operational Control
- Record accurate operational timestamps throughout the turnaround.
- Maintain accurate flight records across company, airport and airline systems.
- Complete delay reports, safety reports and operational documentation to the required standard.
- Escalate operational issues promptly through the appropriate reporting channels.
- Support disruption management by providing accurate operational information and assisting recovery plans.
Safety, Security & Compliance
- Maintain full compliance with company procedures, airline manuals, airport regulations and CAA requirements.
- Promote a strong safety culture by identifying hazards and reporting safety concerns.
- Ensure all activities are carried out safely, securely and in accordance with operational procedures.
- Participate in investigations relating to delays, safety events or operational incidents where required.
- Maintain all required training and operational competencies.
Teamwork & Professional Standards
- Build effective working relationships with all operational departments.
- Lead by example through professional conduct, communication and operational discipline.
- Support colleagues during periods of disruption to achieve the best operational outcome.
- Keep up to date with company notices, airline procedures and operational changes.
- Demonstrate flexibility to support changing operational requirements.

Essential Requirements
- Previous Aircraft Dispatch and Turnaround Coordination experience.
- Widebody aircraft dispatch experience.
- Current or previous aircraft Weight & Balance qualification.
- Good understanding of aircraft turnaround processes.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Competent IT skills and ability to use operational airline systems.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Airside Pass.
- Full UK driving licence .
