The Role
As the Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of our Care at Home service, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, Care Inspectorate requirements and SSSC standards. You will lead by example, promoting a positive culture focused on quality, dignity and person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operation of the service.
- Ensure compliance with Care Inspectorate regulations and Health & Social Care Standards.
- Lead, support and develop the staff team through effective supervision, training and performance management.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding and retention of care staff.
- Maintain excellent relationships with service users, families and healthcare professionals.
- Monitor quality assurance, audits, incidents and complaints, implementing improvements where required.
- Manage budgets and support the continued growth of the service.
- Participate in the on-call rota.
About You
Essential:
- Hold the qualification required to meet Care Inspectorate and SSSC requirements for registration as a Care Service Manager in Scotland.
- Be registered with, or eligible to register with, the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a Care Service Manager.
- Previous experience working within health and social care.
- Strong leadership potential with excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A genuine passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
No previous experience as a Registered Manager is required. Applications are welcomed from experienced Registered Managers as well as Deputy Managers, Team Leaders or other suitably qualified professionals who are ready to take the next step into their first Registered Manager position. Full support and mentoring will be provided to help the successful candidate develop and succeed in the role.
Desirable:
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within a Care at Home service.
- Knowledge of Care Inspectorate regulations and Health & Social Care Standards.
- Experience developing and growing a care service.
