Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Concrete Mixer Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting concrete to various construction sites, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Duties
- Operate concrete mixer lorries safely and efficiently, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies.
- Deliver concrete to designated construction sites in a timely manner, ensuring the quality of the product during transit.
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle before and after each shift, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Load and unload concrete as required, ensuring proper handling and securement of materials.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery documentation.
- Communicate effectively with site managers and dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays.
- Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and colleagues.
Requirements
- Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving is preferred.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with flatbed or lorry operations.
- Knowledge of local roads and traffic regulations relevant to commercial vehicle operation.
- Ability to operate flatbed trucks or similar vehicles used for transporting heavy loads.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliveries efficiently.
- Excellent time management skills with a focus on punctuality and reliability.
- Physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road.
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
