At Dove Lodge, we are excited to recruit a compassionate and dedicated Senior Support Worker and/or a Support Worker who is interested in training and progressing into a senior role.
Dove Lodge is a welcoming 31-bed residential care home located in the beautiful seaside town of Exmouth. Our aim has always been to provide a warm, friendly, and homely environment for both residents and staff.

Shift Patterns
Our shifts are a mixture of:
- 07:00 – 14:00
- 14:00 – 21:00
The role includes working alternate weekends.

Senior Support Worker Responsibilities
The Senior Support Worker role includes:
- Acting as a role model and mentor for support staff
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal care where required
- Assisting with all aspects of medication management
- Supporting new staff inductions and supervising shadow shifts
- Completing shift allocations and overseeing part or full shifts when required
- Supervising Support Workers to maintain high standards of care
- Reporting concerns or updates to Team Leaders or Shift Leads where necessary
Requirements Senior Support Worker
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent qualification)
Support Worker Responsibilities
As a Support Worker, you will:
- Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to residents
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal care where required
- Support residents to maintain dignity, independence, and choice
- Build positive relationships with residents, relatives, and colleagues
- Encourage residents to participate in activities and social engagement
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with the wider team
- Follow safeguarding procedures and health & safety guidelines at all times
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure residents receive the highest standard of care
- Undertake training and development opportunities to progress within your role
Requirements Support Worker
- Ideally working towards an NVQ qualification, or willing to undertake training in order to progress into a senior role
We are looking for candidates with strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to care.
