Are you a skilled Mechanical Fitter looking for your next opportunity with a well-established manufacturer?
We're recruiting on behalf of a leading business within the trailer and HGV manufacturing industry. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a temp-to-perm position where your skills will be recognised and rewarded, with pay increasing based on your experience and ability.
The RoleAs a Mechanical Fitter, you'll be responsible for assembling and fitting key mechanical components to commercial trailers, ensuring every build meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
Your duties will include:
- Fitting trailer braking systems and suspension systems.
- Installing and assembling mechanical components to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Working with pneumatic systems.
- Carrying out quality checks throughout the build process.
- Using a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Working as part of a skilled production team to meet manufacturing targets.
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and Health & Safety.
About You
We're looking for candidates who have:
- Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter, HGV Technician, Plant Fitter, Vehicle Technician, Coachbuilder, or a similar engineering role.
- A strong mechanical background.
- Experience working with pneumatic systems is highly desirable.
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings would be advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
