Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in vehicle recovery/vehicle transport/vehicle inspection and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service. This role involves transporting vehicles safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all relevant regulations. Normal working hours are 06:00 - 16:00 however, shift times may vary depending on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Operate a 7.5 tonne lorry for the collection & delivery of vehicles to various locations.
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of vehicles, including flatbed operations when required.
- Conduct pre-journey vehicle checks to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding collection schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
- Provide excellent customer service during collections & deliveries, representing the company positively.
Qualifications
- Valid UK driving licence with a category C1 entitlement (7.5 tonne).
- Previous experience as a vehicle collection or recovery driver is essential.
- Familiarity with flatbed driving is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Salary is between £32,760 - £37,440 depending on experience level.
