Cowley Timber and Partners Ltd is an innovative and growing timber manufacturing business based in Newark-on-Trent, specialising in the production of high-quality timber frame solutions.
We are recruiting for ‘Manufacturing and Assembly’ Operatives to join us in Newark on a Permanent basis.
Working Monday to Thursday 8-4.30, Friday 8-3.30.
Hourly rate depending on experience, £13.50-£15ph. There is a yearly performance bonus in addition to the salary.
The ideal candidate should have some previous joinery, carpentry or furniture making experience and be someone who has a positive learning and work ethic, can work well within a team and produces work to a good standard.
Key Responsibilities for Manufacturing and Assembly Operative -
The successful candidate will be involved in the build process of timber frame wall, roof, and floor panels, including but not limited to:
Reading and interpreting production drawings – to a basic level
Operating machinery including:
Mitre saws
Automated cross-cut saws
Handheld tools such as , routers, nail guns and cordless drills
Assembling timber frame components from drawings
Carrying out checks to ensure compliance with drawings
Maintaining a strong commitment to health and safety procedures
A tidy attitude towards the workplace as part of the team to ensure a safe and efficient working environment

Pay: From £28,080.00 per year
Experience:
- Timber Panel production: 1 year (preferred)
