Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Bar Staff or Bar Manager (ideally with an SIA badge) to join our vibrant team and we are flexible on working hours offering the opportunity to quickly take on more responsibility and hours. This role is a rare opportunity to contribute to building the bars identity, clientele with involvement in marketing and promotions so we are looking for someone to join our new team to make our bar one of the most desirable locations in the city centre.
The role involves delivering exceptional customer service in a lively environment, managing bar operations efficiently, and ensuring safety standards are upheld and promoting the bar to increase footfall. Duties
- Welcome guests warmly and take orders accurately while providing expert recommendations on drinks and menu items
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages following established recipes and safety standards
- Contribute ideas and implement new ideas to build the bars reputation and business
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Monitor guest behavior to ensure a safe environment, intervening when necessary with your SIA badge
- Manage cash transactions accurately using POS systems and handle payments efficiently
- Assist in stock control by monitoring inventory levels and restocking supplies as needed
- Lead by example to foster a positive team atmosphere, supporting colleagues during busy periods
Qualifications
- Valid SIA badge demonstrating security competence and ability to manage guest safety effectively
- Proven experience working in bar or related hospitality or restaurant environments, with excellent serving skills
- Ability to contribute to building the bars identity, clientele with involvement in marketing and promotions
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for cash handling and inventory management
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy service hours
- Previous experience working in or managing a busy bar setting is highly desirable
- Friendly, approachable demeanor with excellent communication skills

Pay: £12.71-£14.00 per hour
