JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Team Member
RESPONSE TO: Restaurant Manager
RESPONSIBLE FOR: Supporting overall restaurant operations
PURPOSE: To deliver exceptional customer service, support daily restaurant operations, and contribute to a positive, energetic environment. To ensure guests receive high-quality food, friendly service, and a memorable experience while maintaining cleanliness, safety, and teamwork.
Main Responsibilities and Duties:
- Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Deliver friendly, memorable customer experiences at all times.
- Assist in preparing and serving pizzas, sides, drinks, and other menu items (full training provided).
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation across the restaurant, including dining areas, service stations, and workspaces.
- Ensure stock levels are maintained and report low stock to the Restaurant Manager.
- Support teammates across all stations and step into different roles when required.
- Follow all food hygiene, health & safety, and company procedures.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as instructed.
- Handle customer queries professionally and escalate issues to the Restaurant Manager when needed.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and uniform. Participate in training sessions and ongoing development.
- Report all accidents, hazards, and maintenance issues immediately to the Restaurant Manager.
- Follow cleaning schedules and COSHH guidelines when handling chemicals.
- Be fully aware of company fire procedures and the location of fire exits.
- Adhere to Food Hygiene regulations, including HACCP.
- Promote a safe working environment for yourself, colleagues, and customers.
- To cover any section or shift when needed, including covering sickness, holiday and Bank holidays, if required.
General:
- Attend training when required and actively participate in personal development.
- Maintain a flexible approach to working hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Uphold the business’s uniform standards and ensure a professional appearance at all times.
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Support management in maintaining a positive, safe, and productive workplace.
- Represent the Japes brand with positivity, energy, and professionalism.

Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
