Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Labourer to join our team, supporting our floor laying teams. The successful candidate will be involved in hands-on tasks that require physical effort and practical skills. This role offers an opportunity to develop a broad range of skills in a dynamic environment and on construction sites. The position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to gain experience in floorlaying work.
Responsibilities
- Performing general construction tasks such as uplifting old floor coverings, lifting, and material handling
- Assisting with site preparation and clean-up to maintain a safe working environment
- Supporting team members with general duties
Requirements
- Previous experience in construction is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Practical knowledge of using of hand and power tools is desirable
- Mechanical knowledge or experience operating machinery such as floor scrapers is a plus
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy loads
- Good organisational skills with attention to safety procedures at all times
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team with a positive attitude towards learning new skills
Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
