Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Chemical Process Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, analysing, and optimising chemical processes to ensure efficiency, safety, and sustainability. Responsibilities
- Develop and optimise chemical process designs using CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks, ensuring system efficiency and safety standards are met.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues within existing processes and implement effective corrective actions.
- Manage projects from conception through execution, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to meet project milestones and deadlines.
- Design and interpret schematics and system layouts using GD&T principles to ensure precise manufacturing and assembly.
- Utilise programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and systems engineering techniques to automate and control chemical processes.
- Perform data analysis using MATLAB, Python, C++, or similar tools to evaluate process performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Apply mechanical knowledge and construction principles to support system design modifications and upgrades.
- Analyse laboratory data to validate process changes, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate on system design projects, integrating CAD models with real-world applications for optimisation purposes.
- Maintain detailed documentation of process modifications, test results, and technical specifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent systems engineering tools.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in data analysis software including MATLAB, Python, or C++.
- Knowledge of root cause analysis techniques and their application within industrial processes.
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems.
- Familiarity with schematics design, GD&T standards, and system design principles.
- Laboratory experience related to chemical processing is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to construction, process equipment maintenance, or upgrades.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks effectively.

Pay: £24,420.00-£62,327.64 per year
