Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce high-quality precision parts. Duties
- Set up CNC machines by installing tooling, fixtures, and programming parameters based on technical drawings and specifications.
- Operate CNC equipment to produce parts with precision, ensuring adherence to quality standards and specifications.
- Perform routine inspections of machined parts using hand tools and measurement devices such as calipers and micrometers.
- Conduct grinding, milling, and other machining processes to refine components as needed.
- Read and interpret CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files and SolidWorks models to program machine operations accurately.
- Maintain proper documentation of production runs, machine logs, and quality control reports.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues, perform basic repairs, and adjust tooling or machine settings for optimal performance.
- Support welding, assembly, or plastics injection molding tasks as required in the production process.
- Use power tools and hand tools safely during setup and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with team members on tooling adjustments, mechanical improvements, and process enhancements.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating CNC machines with a strong understanding of machining processes such as grinding, milling, and tooling setup.
- Experience with CAD software like SolidWorks or other design programs for programming CNC operations.
- Mechanical knowledge related to machine maintenance, welding techniques, plastics injection molding, and assembly procedures.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments for quality inspections.
- Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and material requirements.
- Familiarity with tooling selection, setup procedures, and troubleshooting CNC equipment issues.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to machining environments and handling of plastics or metal materials.
