Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista/All Rounder to join our vibrant team. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality beverages, providing excellent customer service, and supporting various operational/cleaning tasks within our café. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering a welcoming experience and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Assist customers with orders, answer queries, and provide friendly service to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Support food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, snacks, or other light food items as required.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and dining spaces in accordance with food safety standards.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the register system.
- Manage stock levels by restocking supplies and notifying management of shortages.
- Uphold health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers.
- Contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat business.
Requirements
- Candidate must be able to work weekdays and weekends all year round. Whilst university / school candidates are welcome to contact me separately for zero-hours positions, please do not apply to this role.
- Previous barista experience is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety standards is desirable.
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is advantageous.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Good time management skills to ensure smooth operation during busy periods.
- Ability to work well within a team as well as independently when required.
- Friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
