Summary
We are seeking a Self Employed person to join our team. A van is provided and start times vary day to day but can be as early as 4am. Deliveries can be all over the UK, each van has it's own route with anywhere between 1 and 6 drops a day.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport frozen and chilled foods across designated routes.
- Ensure timely pickups and deliveries to clients such as care homes, hospitals, and nurseries.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch.
- Conduct vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Handle heavy lifting when loading and unloading goods.
- Provide excellent customer service during interactions with clients.
- Manage your schedule efficiently to meet delivery deadlines.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years driving experience
- Minimum 1 year delivery experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles.
- Valid driving license suitable for commercial vehicles.
- Ability to lift heavy items safely.
- Good communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Warehouse experience is a plus.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude.
- Knowledge of GB road regulations is preferred.
