We're looking for a Marketing Assistant to come and join us in Portree with plenty of ideas and a real drive to grow sales, especially online. This isn't a role for someone happy to just keep the wheels turning — we want someone who'll bring fresh thinking to how we promote our products, get properly stuck into our digital channels, and help push sales forward across the business.
What you'll be doing
- Plan and help marketing campaigns across our digital channels (social media, email, website) to drive traffic and sales.
- Come up with fresh ideas to promote our candles and products, both online and in our shops.
- Take real ownership of growing our online sales — this is a big focus for us.
- Manage and grow our social media presence and build a following that turns into customers.
- Create content — photography, video and copy — for our website, social channels and print.
- Keep an eye on how campaigns are performing and use that to keep improving.
- Work closely with the team on our website and online store.
- Support wider marketing activity, including press, PR and events at our Portree visitor centre.
What we're looking for
- Someone bursting with ideas and genuinely excited about driving sales forward.
- A good grasp of digital marketing and social media, and how to turn engagement into sales.
- Comfortable creating content — photography, video or copywriting.
- A self-starter who's happy to get stuck in rather than wait to be told what to do.
- Based on Skye or willing to relocate to Portree.
- Previous marketing experience is helpful, but drive, ideas and initiative matter more to us.
