Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Drive Thru kitchen cook to join our team at Friday Street Farm located just off the main road towards our beautiful Farm Shop. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring our Drive Thru runs smoothly and efficiently, contributing to our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
Working Hours
5 Shifts over 7 days (including weekends)
8 .5 Hour shifts between the hours of 6am & 4pm
Drive thru opening hours 6:30am-2.30pm
Responsibilities
- Drive Thru cook: Responsible for preparing high quality Food quickly and accurately in a fast paced environment. Also preparing items for our Kitchen/ Cafe and Farm Shop.
- Stay Organised: Keep your workspace tidy and know where everything is to work efficiently.
- Keep a Positive Attitude: A friendly tone can brighten a customer’s day, even if they can’t see your smile.
- Handle Rush Hours Calmly: Prioritise tasks, stay calm under pressure, and work closely with your team.
- Anticipate Needs: Prepare common items in advance during slower periods to save time later.
- Use a till system
- Handle Mistakes Gracefully: If an error occurs, apologise politely and correct it.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food storage areas
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations.
- Help with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of shortages.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge.
- Assist in catering events as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of food safety practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and teamwork mentality.
- Basic cooking skills and knowledge of meal preparation techniques are advantageous.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks as required.
