Essential hours include 8 - 1 30 and 2 - 6 30pm weekdays. Regular hours for this post are 10 hours worked over Mondays to Fridays and the post holder also needs flexibility to cover other staff annual leave and sickness and, therefore, gives the opportunity to work additional hours. There is also a rota with other reception staff to cover evening clinics from 6 30 pm - 8pm. Closing date - job will close when candidate appointed.
Job description summary
Offer general assistance to the Practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone
Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.
Excellent IT skills essential as this role involves administering online consultation forms and complex appointment systems via the practice clinical system.
Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the Practice including the provision of clerical support to clinical staff and other members of the Practice team
Facilitate effective communication between patients, members the primary health care team, secondary care and other associated healthcare agencies
