X lives in his own home, supported by a small, committed team who work in a relational way to create a calm, safe and welcoming environment every day. We are now looking for a Team Leader who brings warmth, clarity, and steady, values-led leadership — someone who listens deeply, builds trust, and helps others feel confident, grounded and supported in their practice.
This is a meaningful full-time role with on-call responsibility, where your presence truly matters. You will work day and night shifts, spending time alongside the team, offering guidance through shadowing, coaching, and reflective conversations. You will help staff understand X’s communication, body language, and daily needs, ensuring support feels consistent, respectful, and attuned.
Experience supporting people with learning disabilities and trauma is essential for this role, helping you appreciate the importance of consistency, patience, and thoughtful, person-centred practice. Safeguarding leadership is an important part of the role, ensuring concerns are recognised, recorded, and responded to appropriately.
Training required includes low arousal practice, Intensive Interaction, trauma-informed support, mindfulness, crisis management, restraint reduction and understanding distressed communication.
You will also support the smooth running of the home, overseeing delegated responsibilities such as rota coordination, household standards, health appointments, digital systems, and safety checks. Your leadership will help the team continue working in a relational, thoughtful, and person-centred way.
If you lead with kindness, make thoughtful decisions and believe in person-centred support, this role offers the chance to make a genuine difference in a caring, values-driven team.
