Groundworks Supervisor / Working Foreman

About Us
Diamond Building Contractors Ltd is an established and growing construction company delivering a wide range of projects across the North West. Our work includes structural alterations, general building, commercial works, remedial repairs, drainage, external works and groundworks for both private and commercial clients.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Groundworks Supervisor / Working Foreman to lead and develop our groundworks division.
The Role
This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys leading by example. You'll be expected to work alongside the team while organising day-to-day site operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
You will be trusted to run jobs, liaise with site management and clients, and help grow this side of the business.
Responsibilities
- Supervising groundworks operatives on site.
- Setting out works accurately.
- Operating excavators, dumpers and other plant.
- Drainage installations.
- Foundations and concrete works.
- Kerbing, flagging, block paving and external works.
- Tarmac reinstatement and surfacing.
- Reading drawings and organising site works.
- Ordering materials and managing plant.
- Ensuring health & safety standards are maintained.
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and productivity.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience supervising groundworks projects.
- Able to set out using laser levels and site drawings.
- CPCS/NPORS plant tickets preferred.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Good communication and leadership skills.
- Reliable, organised and self-motivated.
- Able to operate a range of construction plant.
Desirable
- Street Works (NRSWA).
- SSSTS or SMSTS.
- First Aid at Work.
- Experience working on commercial and local authority projects.
