Treetops Dental Surgery is a well-established 9-surgery practice in Wolverhampton, predominantly private and Denplan, with a small NHS contract. We are currently undergoing an exciting Transform 13 development, modernising and expanding our facilities, including the addition of a staff fitness room to support team wellbeing. Role Overview:
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Housekeeping Assistant to support general cleanliness across the practice. This role focuses on maintaining floors and carrying out general cleaning and non-clinical housekeeping tasks, helping to ensure a tidy, hygienic, safe and presentable environment at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and mopping floors in treatment rooms, surgeries, and communal areas
- Vacuuming carpets and maintaining floor hygiene throughout the practice
- Cleaning and maintaining dental practice areas in accordance with appropriate hygiene standards
- Emptying bins and disposing of general waste appropriately
- Keeping waiting areas, corridors, staff areas and other communal spaces clean and tidy
- Ensuring all areas remain safe, clean, hygienic, and well-presented
- Carrying out general housekeeping and maintenance duties within the premises
- Following cleaning schedules and maintaining consistently high standards of cleanliness
- Using cleaning products and equipment safely and appropriately
- Following COSHH procedures and ensuring cleaning chemicals are stored, handled and used safely
- Working in accordance with the practice’s infection prevention and control procedures
Requirements:
- Previous professional cleaning or housekeeping experience is essential
- Previous experience of cleaning within a dental, healthcare, clinical or similar environment is highly desirable
- Good understanding and awareness of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) is essential
- Understanding of the additional cleaning and hygiene requirements within a dental practice
- Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic
- Ability to follow cleaning procedures and instructions
- Ability to work independently and manage cleaning tasks effectively
- Reliable, punctual, trustworthy, and conscientious
- A positive attitude and commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
