We are currently looking for a caring, enthusiastic GP to join our team for 6 sessions starting in July/August 2026.
We are a friendly, forward thinking and innovative training practice, based in Guildford. Fairlands is a 4 Partner GMS Training Practice, with a dedicated team of salaried GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nurses, HCAs and admin staff.
We are situated in 2 purpose-built premises within 3 miles of each other, our 2 buildings are located in Fairlands and Normandy, Surrey. We have plenty of onsite parking and we serve a population of just over 13,000 patients and have seen significant growth over the last few years.
We use EMIS Web as our clinical system and we are a high QOF achieving practice.
Salary will be negotiable depending upon experience.

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated General Practitioner (GP) to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive medical care across a variety of settings, including clinics, nursing homes, and home care environments. Duties
- Conduct thorough patient consultations to assess health concerns and medical histories
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditions
- Prescribe medications and treatment plans in accordance with best practice guidelines
- Perform or oversee medical imaging procedures as necessary
- Administer vaccinations and other preventive treatments
- Coordinate with specialists for advanced diagnostics or specialised care when required
- Lead or participate in clinical research projects to enhance evidence-based practice
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with legal and organisational standards
- Educate patients on health management, lifestyle modifications, and medication use
Skills
- Proven experience in clinical research and evidence-based medicine
- Strong knowledge of public health principles and practices
- Proficiency in medical imaging techniques and interpretation
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach towards diverse patient populations
- Sound understanding of human anatomy and physiology
- Competence in medication administration across various treatment settings
- Experience working within nursing homes, senior care facilities, hospice, or home care environments is advantageous
- Effective communication skills for liaising with multidisciplinary teams and patients’ families
- Organised with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently under pressure
