Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Trainee Floor Layer to join our construction team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills in flooring installation and related trades. The role involves supporting experienced professionals in various tasks, gaining hands-on experience in the construction industry, and learning essential techniques for floor laying. Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of flooring surfaces, including cleaning and levelling
- Support the installation of different types of flooring materials such as carpet, vinyl or hard flooring
- Use hand tools under supervision to cut, shape, and lay flooring materials accurately
- Aid in mixing and applying adhesives or other materials required for flooring installation
- Maintain a clean and organised work area to ensure safety and efficiency on site
Experience
- Construction experience is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Familiarity with hand tools and basic carpentry skills is beneficial
- Enthusiasm for learning new skills within the construction industry is highly valued
