Payments & Cancellations Administrator
About the Role
MotorEasy is looking for a motivated, organised and customer-focused Payments & Cancellations Administrator to join our Finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their administration, customer service and financial processing skills within a fast-paced and supportive environment.
Working closely with the Payments Team Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring customer payments are processed accurately and efficiently, while supporting customers through the cancellation process with professionalism and empathy. You'll help deliver an excellent customer experience while ensuring our internal processes run smoothly.
Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 9:00am – 5:30pm

Key Responsibilities
- Contact customers by telephone, email and SMS regarding missed or outstanding payments.
- Process, monitor and administer customer payments accurately and efficiently.
- Manage the Payments and Cancellations inboxes, ensuring enquiries are responded to promptly and professionally.
- Assist with payment runs and the processing of customer refunds.
- Administer changes to Direct Debit arrangements.
- Investigate and resolve payment-related queries in collaboration with internal departments.
- Support the administration of policy cancellations, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for customers and colleagues.
- Process policy transfers and refunds relating to cancelled policies.
- Respond to customer enquiries regarding payments and cancellations.
- Assist with card payment disputes and associated administration.
- Review cancelled policies to ensure refunds have been processed correctly and resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate customer records and update internal systems with detailed notes.
- Provide holiday cover across the Payments and Cancellations teams.
- Support the wider business with additional administrative duties as required.
About You
We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and enjoys delivering excellent customer service. You'll be confident managing multiple tasks, have great attention to detail and be comfortable working as part of a collaborative team.
Essential Skills & Experience

- A positive attitude with the ability to use initiative and solve problems.
- A flexible team player who enjoys working collaboratively.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths.
Desirable
- Previous administration or customer service experience.
- Experience working with payments, finance administration or insurance (not essential, as full training will be provided).
