We’re looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join the award-winning kitchen team at The Fish Hotel — one of Farncombe Estate’s most distinctive countryside hotels in the Cotswolds.
Set within our stunning woodland estate, Hook at The Fish delivers quality, sustainable cooking in a relaxed yet professional environment. Working in a 2 AA Rosette kitchen, you’ll be part of a friendly, organised and supportive brigade, playing a vital role in keeping the kitchen running smoothly and efficiently.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone looking to start or build a career in hospitality, learn from experienced chefs, and be part of a close-knit team in a beautiful setting.
What you’ll be doing:
Supporting the kitchen team with pot wash and general cleaning duties
Keeping kitchen areas clean, tidy and organised at all times
Assisting with basic food prep where required
Ensuring health, safety and hygiene standards are consistently met
Supporting the smooth running of service during busy periods
Working closely with chefs and front-of-house teams

A strong work ethic and willingness to get stuck in
A reliable, positive and team-focused attitude
Good attention to cleanliness and organisation
The ability to work evenings and weekends
Previous kitchen experience is helpful but not essential
The details:
£13.45 per hour
Plus service charge (£2,000–£2,500 per year)
40 hours per week
Includes evenings and weekends
Meals on duty and uniform provided
