National Federation of ALMOs (NFA) Operations and Events Lead
Part-time: 14 hours per week
Salary: £15,500 - £17,000pa (£38,750 - £42,500 full time equivalent)
Home-based with occasional travel to Coventry, Birmingham or London
Contract: Fixed term contract to 31st December 2027 with the possibility of an annual extension subject to NFA requirements for the managing agent service.

We also host the Managing Agent service for the National Federation of ALMOs (NFA) and employ NFA staff on an annual fixed term contract.
National Federation of ALMOs (NFA) is the trade body representing 15 arm’s-length management organisations (ALMOs), which manage more than 175,280 council homes. The NFA represents the interests of ALMOs at a national level, lobbying and negotiating with central government on their behalf. It also runs a website; organises events, regional meetings and an annual conference for members; and provides advice, training and briefings

The National Federation of ALMOs (NFA) is looking for a highly organised and proactive Operations and Events Lead to keep its day-to-day activity running smoothly and deliver professional meetings, events and member services.
Working closely with the Managing Director, NFA colleagues and members, you will be a trusted first point of contact and a key part of our small, collaborative team.
What you’ll be doing
· Coordinating office systems, records, correspondence and member enquiries.
· Planning and delivering Board meetings, member events, webinars and the Annual Conference.
· Supporting financial administration, including budgets, invoices, subscriptions and audit preparation.
· Providing practical company secretariat and governance support.
· Maintaining website content, member resources and digital communications.
· Building positive relationships with members, suppliers and housing-sector stakeholders.
What you’ll bring
· Strong administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
· Experience of coordinating meetings or events and delivering a responsive customer service.
· Confidence with financial administration and accurate record-keeping.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills and close attention to detail.
· Strong digital skills, including Microsoft Office, Teams and online systems.
· A proactive, professional and collaborative approach, with the confidence to work independently.
You do not need to meet every desirable criterion to apply. Training can be provided in areas such as website administration, governance processes and company secretariat support.
Working arrangements
This is a home-based role for 14 hours per week, with additional hours potentially available before key events. Occasional travel to the Housemark Hub in Coventry, Birmingham and London will be required, and one or two overnight stays may be necessary.
