Overview
Huttons Hotel are seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the cleanliness and organisation of our hotel’s guest rooms and public areas. The successful candidate will Assist leading a team of housekeeping staff, ensuring high standards of hygiene, presentation, and guest satisfaction. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in hospitality or janitorial services to progress into supervisory responsibilities within a dynamic environment. The Housekeeping Supervisor will play a vital role in maintaining the hotel's reputation for cleanliness and service excellence.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations to ensure efficient service delivery
- Lead, motivate, and support housekeeping staff to meet organisational standards and targets
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, corridors, and public areas to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are maintained
- Allocate tasks and schedules to housekeeping team members based on occupancy levels and operational needs
- Train new staff on cleaning procedures, health & safety protocols, and customer service expectations
- Manage stock levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring timely replenishment
- Address guest requests or complaints promptly, striving for high levels of guest satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all housekeeping activities
- Assist in the recruitment process by participating in interviews and performance reviews
Experience
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial services is essential
- Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role within the hospitality industry is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, health & safety standards, and hospitality practices
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Good communication skills, capable of liaising effectively with staff and guests alike
