Kenwood Education is a premium in-person tutoring agency covering Highgate, Hampstead, Muswell Hill, Crouch End, East Finchley and surrounding North London. We do the vetting so families don't have to - every tutor is DBS checked, referenced, and matched personally.
We're extremely selective. We accept roughly 1 in 18 applicants, which means our tutors are a genuinely small, strong pool, not a large panel competing for bookings. We hand-match each tutor to each family ourselves, so there's no bidding on jobs posted to an open board, and once matched, you run the relationship directly with the family.
Must have, no exceptions:
- Oxbridge or Russell Group educated
- Prior tutoring or teaching experience
- Based in or able to travel to North London for in-person lessons
- Willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check

We're looking for tutors who can cover one or more of the following:
Entrance exams (7+, 11+, 13+):
- Maths and/or English at entrance exam level
- Experience preparing students for ISEB, CE, and independent school entrance papers
- Track record with North London or public school admissions a strong plus
Sciences (GCSE and A-Level):
- Chemistry, Biology and/or Physics
- Comfortable teaching to exam board specifications (AQA, Edexcel, OCR)
Economics (GCSE and A-Level):
- Strong subject knowledge and ability to make theory practical and exam-relevant
What we offer:
- Competitive rates based on subject, level and experience (£100+/hr for specialist tutors)
- We cover the cost of acquiring new clients - families get a half price first lesson, but you're paid your full rate regardless

Pay: £40.00-£120.00 per hour
