We're looking for an ambitious and experienced General Manager to lead Canny Lad Tynemouth, our Irish themed sports pub in the heart of the town.
Canny Lad is a lively venue known for great sport, a warm welcome, quality drinks and an atmosphere that keeps guests coming back. We're looking for a hands on leader who can drive sales, build a high-performing team and deliver exceptional customer experiences every day.
The Role
As General Manager, you'll have full responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the business, leading from the front and ensuring high standards across all areas of the pub.
You'll be responsible for growing sales, managing costs, recruiting and developing your team, delivering memorable events and creating an atmosphere that makes Canny Lad the go-to venue for sport, entertainment and social occasions.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a General Manager or experienced Deputy Manager in a busy pub, bar or hospitality venue
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- A passion for sport, entertainment and creating great customer experiences
- Commercial awareness with a proven track record of driving sales and profit
- Excellent standards in service, compliance and operations
- A hands on approach and the ability to motivate and develop teams
