Cleaning Operative – Faversham Public Facilities
Location: Faversham, Kent
Pay: £12.71 per hour
Working days: Thursday to Monday
Hours: 6 hours per day, split shift
Monitor Cleaning Services is looking for a reliable and conscientious Cleaning Operative to clean and maintain public conveniences across Faversham town centre and Faversham Recreation Ground.
This is a split-shift position, so applicants must live locally or within a short travelling distance of Faversham.
Working Hours
Thursday to Monday:
- Attend at 7:00am to unlock the facilities
- Cleaning shift from 11:00am to 1:00pm
- Cleaning and closing shift from 4:00pm to 7:00pm
The role also includes providing additional holiday and sickness cover when required.
Main Duties
- Unlocking, cleaning and locking public conveniences in accordance with the agreed schedule
- Cleaning toilets, washbasins, floors, fixtures and surrounding areas
- Replenishing consumables, including soap, toilet paper and hand-drying supplies
- Carrying out regular checks throughout the day
- Reporting faults, damage, vandalism or maintenance issues promptly to the manager
- Ensuring the facilities are clean, safe and presentable for members of the public
- Following company health and safety procedures at all times
About You
You will need to be:
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
- Comfortable working in public toilet facilities
- Able to manage a split-shift working pattern
- Polite and professional when dealing with members of the public
- Willing to provide holiday and sickness cover when required
- Local to Faversham due to the attendance times and split shifts
Previous cleaning experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided.
