Liberton After School Club provides care after school and during school holidays for children aged between 4 and 12 years in South Edinburgh. Approximately 70 children attend LASC on a daily basis.
We offer care for children in need of additional support by providing an inclusive and diverse environment with choices and opportunities. We encourage a mobile phone and gadget free environment and aim to meet the needs and interests of all children through a balanced, fun, challenging, educational, indoor, outdoor, structured and unstructured play programme.
We are looking for a motivated, hard working, enthusiastic and friendly individual to join our team.
Hours of work during school term: Mon-Thurs 2.00-6.00, Fri 11.30-6.00 (23hrs)
School Holidays: Mon-Fri 8.00 -6.00 as required
SVQ 3 in Playwork (or equivalent qualification) an advantage but not a requirement,
Successful applicants will be supported through a relevant qualification.
The successful applicant will be required to become a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme, register with the SSSC (Scottish Social Services Council) and provide 2 written references.
Rate of pay dependent on qualifications and experience.
(National living wage or above)
