Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting pharmacists by accurately dispensing medications, providing excellent patient care, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of pharmacy services. Prior pharmacy technician experience is preferred, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with prescriptions and pharmacy protocols
- Assist pharmacists with medication administration and patient consultations when required
- Manage prescription records and ensure all documentation is complete and compliant with legal standards
- Provide exceptional patient care by answering queries, offering medication advice, and supporting health and wellness initiatives
- Maintain stock levels, organise medication storage, and ensure the pharmacy environment remains clean and organised
- Support the pharmacy team with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and inventory management
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including infection control procedures
Skills
- Previous pharmacy technician experience is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmaceutical terminology
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to minimise errors
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and team members
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
