Responsibilities

- Take accurate food and beverage orders using proper serving techniques and input orders into the POS system efficiently
- Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring presentation standards are maintained and guest needs are met proactively
- Provide detailed menu information, including ingredients and specials, to assist guests in making informed choices
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities while respecting customer preferences
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, dining areas, and service stations throughout your shift
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, adhering to food safety standards
- Handle guest inquiries or complaints professionally, resolving issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Support food safety protocols by following proper handling procedures for food preparation and serving
- Assist in setting up dining areas before service begins and resetting tables after guests depart
Skills
- Strong knowledge of hospitality principles with a focus on guest services excellence
- Previous restaurant or food service experience is highly desirable
- Familiarity with serving techniques, food safety regulations, and basic food preparation skills
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for billing, change calculation, and order processing
- Kitchen experience or culinary knowledge is a plus for understanding food presentation and timing
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Effective communication skills to interact positively with guests and team members
- Demonstrated upselling abilities to enhance guest experience while increasing revenue potential
