Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and adaptable Service Manager to oversee daily operations at our site in Peterborough, ensuring exceptional customer service and operational efficiency. This role requires a flexible individual capable of stepping into managerial responsibilities as needed, maintaining high standards, and supporting team members. The Manager will play a vital part in upholding the organisation's reputation through effective leadership, excellent customer interactions, and efficient cash handling.
Duties
- Supervise staff, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations
- Booking reservations, ordering parts, invoicing and customer delivery/collections.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and securely, maintaining proper records
- Maintain operational standards, including stock levels and cleanliness of the premises
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Step into managerial roles during absences of senior staff, making decisions in line with company policies
Experience
- Proven experience in customer service roles
- Mechanical knowledge or technical aptitude is advantageous for understanding the position.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Strong cash handling skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer service in fast-paced environments

Experience in the trade would be an advantage.
Some retail knowledge and skills in IT would be handy.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
