What are we Looking For?
Job title: IT Project Engineer
Reports to: Head of Engineering
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday (between our operating hours of 8am to 6pm) + Occasional out of hours projects and implementations (agreed in advance and paid as overtime or time in lieu)
What is the Role?
As an IT Project Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing and delivering projects for our clients. You will work closely with the Head of Engineering and the presales team to deliver technical solutions across our customer base.
This is primarily a field-based role focused on executing project plans to achieve desired business outcomes. It is ideally suited to a motivated and ambitious IT professional eager to deepen their expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, connectivity solutions, and managed services.
Key Tasks & Accountabilities

Serve as the IT project engineer, implementing and managing a wide array of IT and networking projects.

Key technical escalation point for 3rd line support team.

Engage with customers and sales leads to understand their requirements and deliver transformative solutions.

Onboarding and understanding new technologies and systems as part of our technology stack.

Creating clear documentation, and deployment process in an effective and timely manner.

Onboarding of IT customers, providing a fantastic customer experience whist ensuring our support team have the information needed to support effectively.

Able to be self-sufficient, finding resolutions and improving customer outcomes in line with dbfb expectations.
What will You Bring?
Experience:
-
5+ years proven experience as a Technical Project Engineer or similar role.

Proficient in understanding, implementing, and troubleshooting cloud, hardware, software, and networks.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, Azure and Microsoft 365.

Strong knowledge of Meraki, Draytek and cloud networking technologies.

Experience with Entra ID, Group Policy, Endpoint Manager and other administrative and security-focused solutions.

Strong project management experience in liaising with customers and internal project teams to ensure project progress communicated effectively.

Experience of the Cyber Essentials framework and general best practices.

Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject (Computer Science, Information Technology, etc) is ideal.

Relevant industry certifications with proven implementation is a plus

Full valid UK driving licence is required.
