Job Description
Boarhunt Garage & Recovery Services is looking for an experienced Foreman Mechanic to join our busy workshop.
This is a hands-on role combining vehicle repair and maintenance with responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day running of the workshop, supporting the technician team and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Our workshop works on a wide range of vehicle makes and models and operates as an MOT station for Classes 4, 5 and 7.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day workload and smooth running of the workshop
- Allocate and coordinate jobs across the technician team
- Carry out servicing, diagnostics, maintenance and repairs
- Support and guide technicians where required
- Ensure work is completed efficiently and to a high standard
- Maintain high standards of health and safety within the workshop
- Help identify faults and resolve more complex mechanical issues
- Liaise with management regarding workload, repairs and workshop requirements
Requirements
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic experience
- Previous experience as a vehicle technician/mechanic
- Ability to lead and support a workshop team
- Full UK driving licence preferred
- MOT Tester qualification would be an advantage but is not essential, as training can be provided
We are looking for someone reliable, experienced and confident who can take responsibility for the workshop while remaining hands-on with the team.

Experience:
Vehicle Technician/Mechanic: 3 years preferred
Licence/Certification:
City & Guilds Automotive or equivalent preferred
Full UK Driving Licence preferred
