In the Learning Support Assistant role you will be:

Supporting learners aged 14–16 enrolled on the Junior Apprenticeship Programme, helping them engage positively with their learning and college experience

Working alongside tutors and support teams to provide academic, social and pastoral support tailored to individual learner needs

Assisting learners during vocational sessions by reinforcing instructions, supporting tasks and encouraging participation

Promoting independence, confidence and positive behaviour, helping learners develop essential skills for their future
Supporting learner progress through reviews, record keeping and working collaboratively with teaching and support staff

To be successful, you will need:
- Experience supporting young people, ideally within an educational, training or vocational environment

Understanding of safeguarding, inclusion and the pastoral needs of younger learners
- Qualifications within the relevant field, including Supporting Teaching and Learning or Supporting Adults and Young People with ALN

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient, resilient and adaptable approach

Ability to build positive relationships with learners, tutors and wider support teams
Enhanced DBS clearance is essential for this role

This is a temporary position for initially 2 months, working 25 hours per week. You’ll be based in Rhyl, on an hourly rate of £13.45 per hour plus benefits.
