Kitchen Team Member required to join us in our temporary July/August home of George Square, Edinburgh.
Popular Edinburgh Burger and Fried Chicken Spots - We run two temporary venues during the Fringe.
We are looking for passionate and energetic individuals to cook, prepare and serve food in our street food trucks this Summer.
There will be full time and part time positions available in our permanent city units after the Fringe if Interested.
Pay: £14.50-£16.50 per hour (plus end of Festival Bonus based on Performance, attendance and hours).
CHIX:
At CHIX we serve freshly fried Chicken with a range of toppings inspired vey different global cuisines. We have a central prep unit so the job will require keeping on top of stock and prepping the daily salads.
Fat Pattys Smash Burgers:
At Fat Pattys we have gained an eruption as one of the best smash burgers in Edinburgh. We use High Quality local beef and an imported American Potato Bun.
Our team:
Our team is the driving force each year. As part of our team you will pride yourself on creating delicious + fast food that people travel to find. You will be naturally customer obsessed and will work hard to ensure the each dish is served to the highest standard. You will be obsessed with keeping your work station tidy and always conscious of the overall aesthetic of the truck. You will be working shift patterns of circa 8 hours each day and will have a general positive and energetic approach.
The event:
We will be set up in George Square Gardens, Edinburgh from July onwards working with the following events:
Edinburgh Fringe Festival: 20th July - 25th August.
The garden is open from 10am - 12am daily.
We expect you to be available for the duration of the events.
Food Prep Chef -
You will be responsible for ordering food, maintaining a consistent and high standard of food prep, general cleanliness of kitchen and food compliance.
It is essential that you are available from the middle of July - end of August.
It is essential that you have experience working in a food environment and hold a food hygiene certificate.
For all positions we ask for you to be confident working by yourself and without supervision. It is worth noting that you will also be working in street food huts which are outside and so please be aware that it can become cold.
You will be required to travel to George Square Gardens, Edinburgh and our operating hours will be circa 11am - 12am.
